Here are my top 3 tips for making bold eye colors wearable for every day!
TIP 1: Pick 1 bold shade and mix with your favorite neutrals
For this look, I used one of our NEW limited edition shades, “Plasma Pink Shimmer” and layered it with my every day go to neutral, “Sandstone Pearl Shimmer.” Using a lighter champagne color helped pull the “brightness” down a bit and highlight the inner corner!
TIP 2: Don’t use too much pigment!
My second tip is to make sure you don’t use too much pigment! For the look above, I applied a little too much for what I was going for but I just used my favorite shadow brush to blend the color out and pick up any of the extra pigment. The best way to make a bold color wearable for every day wear is to blend out the color so it doesn’t seem so bold!! This look below is another great example of this!

TIP 3: Avoid a bold lip color!
My rule of thumb when I’m doing my makeup is to pick ONE.
BOLD EYE OR BOLD LIP
When doing a bold eye look, I like to make sure I keep my lips pretty neutral! It helps draw all the attention to the eyes instead of feeling like “WOW SHES GOT A LOT OF MAKEUP ON!”
For this color, my lip color is a little more BOLD, so you can see my eye look is a little less dramatic while still being fun! That doesn’t mean you can use color, just use less of it!! It’s all about BALANCE people! 🌼
